Limited-Edition Prints: Owning a Piece of the Passion

By April 27, 2024No Comments

We are thrilled to announce the launch of a curated selection of limited-edition prints available for purchase on our online shop! This exciting new offering comes in response to the growing demand from our patrons and visitors of our recent exhibition.

Owning a piece of original art can be a dream for many, but it doesn’t have to be the only way to connect with and invest in the art world. Limited-edition prints provide a fantastic opportunity to acquire high-quality reproductions of original artwork at a more accessible price point. Each print is meticulously produced on archival paper, ensuring its longevity and value for years to come. More importantly, owning a limited-edition print allows you to bring the passion and creativity of the artist directly into your home or personal space. The edition size, typically limited to a few dozen or sometimes more prints (depending on the artist), adds a sense of exclusivity and collectibility to these pieces.

To celebrate this launch, we’re showcasing a selection of captivating limited-edition prints from two of our critically-acclaimed artists: Hodari Olivier and Willy Karekezi.

Hodari’s captivating artistic style is a fusion of contemporary abstraction and bold figuration. His paintings burst with layers of color and stylized forms, each creation a testament to his masterful use of color and composition. Willy Karekezi is a multidisciplinary artist whose work tackles important social issues.

A Glimpse into the Collection:

For those of you, who came to the Missing Thread exhibition, you may recognize two of the pieces. The others are being made available for the first time. Here are a few highlights:

Hodari Olivier’s Part of Nature┬áis an enchanting artwork that invites viewers to ponder the profound bonds of black sisterhood. With its vibrant color palette and the poignant connection between the young girls and the flowers they cradle, this piece ignites a contemplative journey.

Does the title speak to the inherent nature of the girls themselves, the delicate blooms they hold, or perhaps a seamless fusion of both? Click on the image to immerse yourself in the intricate details of this thought-provoking artwork and take a step closer to making it a cherished addition to your collection.

The Other Sides, by Willy Karekezi, was not included in the Missing Thread exhibition, but strong interest in his work led guests to him.
