Power of Will was featured in the recent solo exhibition, Missing Thread: The Story of Ngoie, held in Atlanta, Georgia by Elliston Fine Art. The painting depicts a female subject colored in hues of blue and lavender, and who seems to be submerged in an aquatic environment that is alive as evidenced by the fish occupying the foreground of the frame. The subject’s stare invites the viewer to stay and perhaps explore the messages hidden in plain sight in the golden crown that dominates the upper half of the painting.
